KORTJ. (From Ouv Own Correspondent). After the wettest and coldest winter ever experienced in Koni we have been favored with a week's ideal weather, with tropical rains. Our factory re-opened on Wednesday last. The suppliers are small as yet, owing to the rigorous weather conditions, hut there is every evidence of there being a capital season ahead. The pastures arc looking very well. The factory has refused an offer of Is per lb for its season's output —a fact which must he very gratifying to the suppliers, who are bound to have a splendid innings this season. An earthquake was experienced here at 4. a.m. on Saturday, and created some alarm.
