TROUBLE IN CHINA.

DR. MORISON'S VIEWS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyrifkt. Received 23, 9.30 p.m. London, August 23. Dr. Morison in a letter to the Times, speaks optimistically of the outlook in China. Conditions are eveiywhere improving. He deprecates the alarmist reports, forecasting trouble between the North and the South. Yuan-Shi-Kai is looking forward with pleasure to Dr. Sun-Yat-Sen's visit, and is arranging every honor. The relations of \uan-Shi-Kai and Li-Yuan-Hun are moßt cordial. The two executed Hupeh generals secured many followers in Wuchang, and if executed there Li-Yuan-living's difficulties would have been increased; therefore the conspirators were executed at Pekin. The Advisory Council were men of the highest intelligence, and it was mischievously absurd to say that the Tung-Men-Hui Party were seeking civil war. The statement that Tang-yao-shi had fled to Pekin was untrue and disgraceful. THE PREMIER TO BE IMPEACHED. Received 24, 12.50 a.m. London, August 23. The Daily Mail's Pekin correspondent says that a meeting of all political parties decided to proceed with the impeachment of the Premier and Minister of War.

The .opinion in Tientsin is that Dr. Sun-Yat-Sen is foolhardy in proceeding to the capital.
