COACH ACCIDENT.
CLAIM FOR DAMAGES'. By Telegraph—Press Aa««ai*ti«a. Christchuroh, Last Night. The sequel to the West Coast coach accident at Paddy's Bend last New Year's Day occurred at the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Denniswhen three claims were nude against* the owners of the coach, Moynihan and Co., for damages in respect of injuries alleged to have been sustained by passengers through the accident. Archibald Neil claimed £SOO, Henry James Hopgood and Alice Hopgood £250, and Matilda Birley £5lO 10s. Mr. Alpers, with him Mr. Sargent, appeared for Neil and for the Hopgoods, and Mr. Raymond, with him Mr. Johnston, for Mrs. Birley. Mr. Hannan, with him Mr. Cassidy, appeared for Moynihan and Co. Counsel intimated to His Honor that it had been decided to take all the cases together. Evidence wa» taken in the cases, but not completed when the court rose for the day.
