A MILLION LOAN WANTED. By Cable— Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, August 17. The Trades liall Council adopted the report of a special committee recommending that the Government be asked to borrow £1.{100,000 to erect 2000 bouses, charging the tenants a. rental of 5 per cent, on the capital outlay. The chairman of the committee stated that the increase in rents ranged from 5 to 80 per cent. The average rise in the industrial suburbs was 24.22 per cent.
