Durnan has received a notification of Barry's willingness to meet him in a race for the world's championship in September, on the Thames, England. 'Barry stipulates for a stake of £SOO a-side, a deposit of £IOO to accompany the acceptance. PEARCE v. BARRY. Received 16, 12.25 a.m. Sydney, August 15. Pearce has lodged a deposit of £IOO for a race with Barry. He' has cabled to the champion that he will meet him on the Thames in August next year, and asked for £250 expenses.
