wangaxtfs protest. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganiii. Last Night. The Wanganui branch of tlie Amalgamated .Society of Railway Servants passed a resolution protesting against the proposal to import a general manager of railways on the retirement of Mr. Ronayne. The meeting urged the promotion of one of the New Zealand officers, who was well-qualified as well as conversant with New Zealand requirements.
