SUPREME COURT.
AUCKLAND SESSIONS. By T«l«sntph—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. In the Supreme Court prisoners were sentenced as follows: Robert John Cross, for burglary and £heft, five years' imprisonment and seven years' reformative treatment; Andrew Bartley, for arson at Mangonui, two years' reformative treatment; Thomas Twidle, theft at Hamilton, one year's reformative treatment; James Rammar, for theft at Hamilton, one year's imprisonment. Victor Todd, on two charge of indecent assault, was sentenced to five years' imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent; Cecil John Brooks, for theft from a vessel, with several convictions against him in England and Australia, two years' imprisonment and ten years' reformative treatment; Arthur Turner, on three charges of housebreaking, was remanded for a week to enable his full police record to be obtained; Oscar Middleton Hawkson, on nine charges of false pretences, two years' imprisonment; James Woodard, alias Brydon, for theft from a dwelling, two charges, twelve months' imprisonment on each, the sentences to be concurrent and he declared to be an habitual criminal; Walter Harris, for indecent assault, five years' imprisonment. DTJNEDIN SESSIONS. Dunedin, Last Night. The criminal sittings of the Supreme Court were concluded to-day. James Williams was ordered to be detained for reformative treatment for a period not exceeding three years. William John Quane received a sentence of three months' imprisonment for stealing an overcoat, and was declared to be an habitual criminal. ,_ '■
