FROZEN MEAT.
THE CONTINENTAL TRADE. By Cable—Press Association—OopySigkt. Melbourne, August 12. Mr. Hughes has received a letter from Herr Hugo Dahms, of Berlin, stating that a slaughtered bullock placed in a freezing chamber in Berlin was found ten months afterwards to comply with the strict German regulations regarding frozen meat. He urges Australia to push the trade in meat in Germany, and advises that the method of dressing be altered in accordance with European requirements. The Commonwealth should seek an international conference with a view to uniformity of regulations. This would mean that shipments could be directed to whatever European market for the time being offered the best returns.
