DROWNED IN A CREEK. By Telegraph-—Press Association. Auckland, La at Night. A native named Charles Rangi was foind drowned this morning in the Waahi creek, which runs- into the Woiikato river near lluntly, and as deceased was subject to fits it i.s surmised that he fell into the watei. Information concerning tile fatality was received this afternoon by Inspector Mitchell, from the Huntly police.

CAUGHT IK A WINCH. Thames, Friday. Captain Anderson, of the steamer, Kopu, got his ami caught in a winch, producing a compound fracture. He narrowly -escaped death.
