FIRES.
BLAZE AT DANNEVIRKE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dannevirke, Fridaq. A sis-roomed house at Dannevirke, occupied by Henry-John Cuff, rabbit, inspector, and owned by C. Hall, was destroyed by fire at l' a.m. A five left burning in the front room is supposed to have been the cause. The occupant and nine children escaped in night attire, and nothing was saved. The furniture was insured in the State Office for £175, and the house in the South British Office for £275. Cuffs loss is about £IOO. WOODWARE FACTORY DESTROYED. Timoru, Last Night. Mr. P. J. Beaton's wood ware factory at Fairlie, containing a lot of new machinery, was destroyed by fire yesterday. The loss exceeds the insurance, which is £llOO Lu the South British Office.
