SENTENCES COMMUTED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 9, 9.50 p.m. Perth, August 9. The death sentences in the Broome murder case have been commuted. A cablegram from Perth on June 22 stated that Thomas Milch and Candiom Coldstrom, two Manila -men, for the murder of Constable Fletcher in a scuffle at a hotel at Broome, were sentenced to death. Two Malays were acquitted.
