CONFERENCE CONTINUED. By T»l«gr»pk —Press Association. , Wellington, Monday. The Reform League Conference was continued to-day. A scheme of organisation for the Dominion was submitted by a sub-committee and discussed at considerable length. The annual subscription for members was fixed ait 2s Gd. The objects of the league axe stated to be as follows:—(1) To secure prudent and honest administration of public affairs according to sound economic prinsip!(•.«■>; (2) to secure and mainiteun the freedom of political conscience and opinion; (3) to support measures giving equality of opportunity to all; (4} to guard the strictly confidential prerogatives of Parliament, particularly in regard to measures giving undue powers of patronage to Ministers; (5) to promote and encourage the candidature for Parliament of honorable and capable representative men; and (0) to take such measures as may commend themselves to the league for the furtherance of the foregoing objects and such others as may be adopted from time to time. Wellington, Last Night. The national conference of the New Zealand Political Reform was ! continued this morning. There was a full attendance of delegates. Mr. E. 11. Williams (Hawke's Bay) presided. The name of the league was reaffirmed and the committee's report was adopted. The proposal by the Canterbury branch that a party year book should be published was, on the a-ecommendatioi ! of a committee, referred to the Dominion executive for favorable consideration. The committee reported that it had no recommendation to make regarding the proposed appointment of an official organiser of the party. It was resolved that the Dominion executive should consist of the leader of the party and eleven other members, and an executive of tills number, including two ladies, was constituted to act during the next twelve months. A clause was added to the constitution providing for the representation at the Dominion conferencu of women's branches bv one delegate from each electorate.
