The police believe they have obtained the revolver that shot Rosenthal. THE POLICE AND GAMBLERS. Received 5, 11 p.m. New York, August 5. Police Commissioner Waldo has recommended a thorough investigation into the charges regarding the connection of the police with gamblers. Commissioner Waldo alleges that the Courts practically protect gamblers, who do much corrupt election work, and place judges on the Ibenches.
