TIIE MARS-BUCKLEY CUP. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.. Received 5, 12.20 a.m. Sydney, August 4. Queensland and New South Wales opened the Mairs-Buckley cup competitions. New South Wwles were in a good position when rain stopped play. Victoria is not competing, owing to the decision to hold the contest separate from, tlhe Interstate championships.
