TWO AMERrCANS HANGED. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Mexico City, August 1. Two Americans have been hang?d near Cananea Sonora. The Government has ordered an investigation. It is believed that the men were executed to precipitate American intervention. New York. August 1. The American consuls have been ordered to investigate the Mexican hanging occurrence. The officials regard the situation as serious, and if it is learnt that the hanging was the result of the threats by Generals Orozco and Salazar, the United States may intervene. It is reported from El Paso. Texas that despatches received say that the men hanged were named S. Schubent and S. Hurtling, who are both Germans. Scores of messages have been sent to Washington. asking for protection for Americans in the insurrection zone. AMERICAN REFUGEES. over 1500 refugees from Mexico arc stranded at El Pa.so. Texas.
