As regards the future, he, is going to try pigeon .-hooting on the Continent, and may abandon sculling, which he describes as terribly hard work. EXPERT CRITICISM. Sydney, July 31. Pearcc and George Towns are of opinion that something was radically wrong jwith Arnst. , Towns declares that Arnst if fit and well was easily a better man than Barry. I Pearce said he was ready to row Ban"/ immediately, if backing was forthcon icg. Peter Kemp said that if Arnst had b3en well he should have won easily. A sculler wants at least four or five mom lis in a country before racing. "Get Arn«i; well and match him again, and I unhesitatingly nama him as winner."

, London, July 31. I Owing to the exceptionally bad water and the difficulties of acclimatisation Arnst's supporters are dissatisfied and urge another race. Arnst, while not committing himself, promises to consider the suggestion. Barry states that he is unwilling to race before 1913. j The Sportsman says that it -does not appear that there is any doubt of financial support for Arnst being forthcoming. BEACH'S VIEWS.
