THE TOHUHGA CASE.
EMILY HETA DEAD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. Emily Heta, the sixteen-year-old girl regarding whom the tohunga Hingawhata Tuparoa has been committed for trial on a charge of indecent assault, and who had charged him with rape, died at the Motuiti pa yesterday of consumption. Her evidence was taken at a special sitting of the court held at the pa last week.
