The directors of the Waihi Company, in a circular to the shareholders detailing the' circumstances of the strike, say they have decided not to make a new agreement with the Miners' Union till it is registered under the Arbitration Act, hence it is impossible to say how long it will be before work will he resumed. Though paying a dividend #f two shillings iu September, the directors point out that further distribution cannot be made until the strike ends, still even then its ~ub-eijuent events are lib h -_( i atl'ect dividends.
