THE FLAX-WORKERS' UNION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmers ton North, Last Night. The 'half-yearly general meeting of the New Zealand Max-workers' Union did not deal with the question of cancelling the affiliation to the New Zealand Federation of Labor, as anticipated. The question was held over for a special general meeting, to ibe held next month. There Was a keen election for the presidency, with three candidates. Mr. Gavin Stone, the late acting-secretary, headed the poll. The other officers are: Secretary, Mr. ,Robinson (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. Mclvor; vice-presidents, held over.. The meeting decided by' a majority of five votes not to admit the press.
