A TKAMWAY FATALITY. By Tdegmph—Pr«« AM*oi«,tion. Wellington, Last Night. Ambrose McKay, a young married man, employed as conductor on a tramcar of the palace type, fell from the footboard this evening while collecting fares and fractured his skull. He died to-night in the hospital. Mrs. McKay gave birth to a child about two hours before her husband's death.
CANON HARE'S DEATH. Christchurch, Last Night. At the inquest on Canon Hare, a verdict was recorded in accordance with the medical evidence that deceased died from shock, following on injuries received in an accidental fall. Canon Hare came to New Zealand as private secretary to Sir Jas. Ferguson in 1872, and in 1879 took up duties as headmaster of Christ's College, which he carried on till 1893.
