(The total for the corresponding quarter of last year, ineluding a balance of £586,483 at the beginning of the quarter, was £1,827,180). The expenditure is—Permanent appropriations, £1,199,407; annual appropriations, £1,302,818; balance at end of the quarter, £782,546; total, £3,284,773. (The total for the corresponding quarter including a balance of £498,535, was £2,827,180).
