LIFE-SAVING APPARATUS.

AX ILLUMINATIVE REPORT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Thursday. A report by experts on the regulations governing life-saving apparatus on vessels at sea has been furnished to the Marine Department. It is submitted in the document that the want of men experienced in the use and handling of boats is p. serious matter in case of shipwreck. It is suggested that before the New Zealand regulations are altered (as at present intended) it would be advisable to wait for the report of the British Board of Trade, which is now considering the matter of boat accommodation.
