THE COLLIERS. Discharging operations wore re-com-menced yesterday on the Kaituna and it is hoped that she will be able to be despatched this afternoon for Greymouth. The Putiki suffered from a shortage of labor yesterday, only one gang (and thatcomposed of members of the vessel's crew) working. The cargo amounts to 33 ! 0 tons of coal. THE MANUREWA. The Manurewa was brought alongside the wharf yesterday by the Thomas King, Official visits were paid the vessel by the Customs officer and the health officer, everything being in order. The vessel, which has come, from Clarence River, has a cargo of 99,352 ft of timber and 2000 ft. of piles, all for the Public Works Department. The Manurewa experienced a particularly rough trip from the Australian port, the crew remarking tlyat one night was the roughest experienced for many years. Oil was poured overboard, with good effect. Land was sighted last week, but, owing to the gale, the tarque was held back and the breakwater was not made till Monday. After discharging, the vessel proceeds to Wanganui with the balance of her cargo, which will amount to 28,190 ft of timber and 1823 ft of piles. THE ECHO. The Echo sailed yesterday for Mokau, where she k to load a cargo of timber for New Plymouth.
