LORD ISLINGTON TO RESIGN. ' A London cablegram, which so far ha* not been corroborated from "Wellington,, indicates that the Governor, Lord Islington, is .about to resign his position, as Governor of the Dominion in orderto take up the chairmanship of a Royal Commission which is about to be se£np» to enquire into the public service iit India.
