Unforseen difficulties have: necessitated the postponment of the payment of the first■•.: dividend jn connection with the distribution of the funds of the Taranaki Petroleum Company. Towards the end of the week, however, shareholders will receive the official circulars notifv- ' ing them that the dividend is payable. It is understood that there will not be a call upon the preference'shares.
