Fletcher, Hunter road, near Eltham. There was a good attendance, including many outside buyers from Tariki, Hawera. Mokoia, and Rata. Bidding was exceptionally keen, especially for Holsteins and Jerseys. The whole herd of 53 cow.s made an average of £ll 2s. The sundries and furniture, of which there was a great quantity, sold at good market rates. Prices realised were as follows: Sundries: Stumping jack 455, endless chain and blocks 265, fowls 4s Od, 5s and 2s each, cans 10s and 12s Cd, chairs 7s Cd, old waggon £5,. dray £5 10s, .harness 51s, grass harrows 255, dray £5, d.f. plough £ll 10s, ihay rake £5 2s 6d, mower £fi, disc harrows £3 10s, Planet Jr. drill 275, potato weeder and moulder 255, mare £3O, mare £22 10s, gig £5, harness £3 15s, sows £3 17s Cd and '2ss, store pigs 14s 6d to 245, lambs 8s (id. Cows: Holstein and Jerseys £l2 10s to £lO 10s, and good young cows £lB 5s to £27 5s for nice young well-bred Jerseys: aged cows £5 10s to £B, and three; teaters £3 12s Gd to £7 15s< and up to £lO 10s for a three-teater llolstein, Shorthorn cows from £!) to £ll 15s; bull £4 sa.
