Mr. D. Clegg, gents' clothier and mercer, is holding a clearance sale at his shop in Inglewood. Mr. Clegg is very candid! "I want the money," he eays, and to get it he is selling iiis goods,at a reduction of 3s 4d in the £, or twopence in each shilling. The stock has been well bought, and well kept, and at the new prices there should be little difficulty in making it produce "the ready." An interesting exhibition of tempting delicacies for the 'table is to be seen at Mr. Carter's store in Devon street, and in a new advertisement which appears to-day special reference is made to these Old World foods, which are so reminiscent of a first-class hotel bill of fare. They are new lines of foodstuffs, and just in. Superb • fringed rugs made by the famous Kaiapoi woollen mills are being sold at /the Melbourne for 15s 6d each. A rare chance this for either travellers or householders.
