Reefton, Last Night. At the annual meeting of the Miners' Union last niglit the present president was re-elected. A competition for the secretaryship ensued, J. Collier opposing M. Fagan. It is understood that a mo tion ordering a secret ballot with :i view to seceding from the federation was lost on the voices. One hundred and fifty-five names were on the lock-out pay roll at the end of the financial year.
