NEW PLYMOUTH DEFENCE CLUB. Yesterday the New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club fired the first stage of a handicap match for a gold medal presented by t'he president. The weather conditions were very bad, and consequently the shooting was not up to the usual standard. The following are the scores for the Thursday men:—
