THE N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS.. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The New Zealand boxing championships were continued to-night. The finals were as follows: Bantams.—J. Gunn 7.10 (Timaru) beat J. Kutner, 8.1 (Wellington. ■Middle-weight.—Monaghan, 11.1 (Ohakune) beat Cate 10.13 (Gisbome). Welter-weights—Watchom 10.7, beat J. 'Murphy 10.6 (Wellington). Heavy-weights. Fitzsimmons 12.5 (Timaru) beat Caldwell 13.0 (Wanganui). Feather-weights.—Barr 8.10 (Wairarapa) beat Thompson 8.13 (Southland) disqualified. Light-weights. McGrath (Timaru) won by default from Simpson. Special medals for the most scientific boxers were awarded to O'Leary (Wellington), Dunn (Timaru), and Young and Owens (Westport).
