SERIOUS SHIPPING DELAYS,

There is no abatement of the storm and rain. Exceptionally heavy seas are being experienced all along the coast, and shipping is having a rough time. The Manly ferry service has been suspended. The waves swept and demolished the surfers' dressing sheds. Arriving vessels had an unpleasant experience, many, including some big liners, standing off unable to enter the heads. The departure of the Wiminera has been postponed until 11 o'clock on Thursday morning, owing to the rough weather.
Newcastle, Woollongong and Clarence River report that the breakwaters have been damaged by enormous seas. One or two coasters are overdue, but are supposed to be sheltering.
FURTHER DAMAGE REPORTED. Received 16, U. 45 p.m. Sydney, .July IG. Xu.nbers of boats and motor launches were smashed and damaged at Manly, and a' portion of the sea wall was destroyed. Seventy pounds' worth of lines were destroyed in attempts to moor ferry steamers. The sea on the coast is the highest for over twenty years. At Bulli the jetty and a large quantity of coal-loading machinery on Solitary Island jetty were washed away. Received 17, 1.2.) a.m. Sydney. July 10. Two hundred and five feet of the Bulli jetty have been destroyed. It is estimated that the damage will amount to £14,000.
