RIFLE SHOOTING.
On Thursday the New Plymouth Defence Kiile Club will fire a handicap match for a gold medal presented by the president. The conditions will be seven | shots at 200, 500, 600, 800, 000, and 1000 yards. The following are the handicaps:—Winslade scr, Evans scr, Grover 3, Short 0, Hartnell 7, Humphries 7, Bruce 7, Oliver 7, Johnson 8, Nichols 8, ißlanchard 8, Hill 11, Goodacre 11, Ben|nett 12, Beadle 12, Keating 14, Banks ,17, Phillips 17; remainder of present .members of club 20 points.
