THE ANNUAL MEETING. —~ . . * By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. Tike Manawatu Agricultural and Pastoral Association's annual meeting was held to-dav. The following officers were elected.—President. Mr. T. R. Hodder; vice-presidents, Messrs. D. Buick, M.P., J. A. Nash, .7. (!. Harkncss'and Colonel Pringle; treasurer, Mr. J. M. Johnston; committee, Messrs. Ernest Short, M. A. Conway, J. V. Batehelor, Chas. Carr, K. L. Dalrymple, Hugh Gillies, David Howie, J. A. MK'rea, Robert MeNab, A. Sutherland, J. Flock and Jas. Tennant. The report and balance-sheet showed a profit of £355 on the year, while since then the National Dairy Show had made a profit of £4OO, the largest for some years past. Mr. David Buick, M.P., in returning thanks as vice-president, expressed his belief that Palmerston would now get a dairy school. Major Dunk, chairman of the National Dairy Show Committee, since its inception, was elected an honorary life member. It was decided to accept W. Wilkinson's tender of £859 for the erection of a Wheeler Memorial sheep .pavilion, in memory of the late Mr. G. C. Wheeler, Romuey breeder.
