The Liberal Association Conference rejected a motion that a referendum be taken at the next general elections regarding the introduction of the totalizator. It approved of a motion that the Liberal Party should introduce legislation providing for advances of money at a low rate of interest on approved freehold security to tlio people, enabling them to build their own homes in any part of the State.
