The gate and membership charges will therefore be increased. RACING PERMITS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Friday. Mr. Herries will not be Minister in charge of racing permits, as, being already a member of the Racing Conference, he does not care to act. in a dual capacity. It has not been decided who will undertake this duty.
Jolly Boy fell in the Victorian Grand National Hurdle Race, and later it was found that his shoulder was broken and he had to be destroyed.
