AUSTRALIANS' AMERICAN TOUR. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, July 11. The Sportsman says the Australians will play six or eight matches in America, returning via Vancouver. Crouch, the manager, says the statement is unauthorised. He has made no I definite arrangements and can make no press announcement. AUSTRALIA v. SCOTLAND. London, July 11. In the second Australian match I against Scotland, played at Glasgow, the Scottish team scored 289, to which Denskin contributed 79 not out. The bowling analysis was:—Minnett, two for 72; Whitty, one for 33; Matthews, two for 81; Kelleway, one for 43; Smith, one for 22; Macartney, three for 23. When stumps were drawn the Australians had scored 13 without the loss of a wicket—Jennings 3, Mayne 9. PLAYERS v. GENTLEMEN. London, July 11. Tn the match Gentlemen against Plavers. the former scored 355 for seven
wickets (Fry 101).
