Alfred Sylvester, aged 21, attempted to assault "a girl of" 17 on Saturday, near Gigendem He struck her on the head with a bottle, and injured her with a pocket-knife. The girl stated that she crawled a quarter of a mile, and she was found on Sunday morning in a critical state. Sylvester was found in the yard of a hotel suffering from lysol poisoning, and died on Monday.
