At the Viterbo trial the jury unanimously found that nine of the prisoners were guilty of murder, and the rest of criminal complicity. The accused were recalled to the iron cage, and Demarines, on .hearing his condemnation for murder, drew a piece of glass and cut his throat, an 4 collapsed in a pool of blood. The spectators weie horrified, and a panic in the Court ensued. Order was restored witli difficulty. ! HEAVY SENTENCES. ! Received 9, 11.25 p.m. > Rome, July #. The Camorrists, Sortino, Moora, Cerato, Digennaro, Mariano and Salavi, were found guilty of being actual murderers, and Alfano and Demarinia of plotting crime. They were all sentenced to thirty years' solitary imprisonment. Of the remaining prisoners, on a charge of belonging to a criminal association and plotting, four were sentenced to twenty years' imprisonment, and Vitozzi to se\len years' imprisonment.
