A SUDDEN DEATH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. Mr. T. Gillman, for 30 years accountant of the New Zealand Loan Co., who retired on pension two years ago, died suddenly to-day. A VETERAN'S DEATH. Palmerston N., Last Night. George Frederick El very, who w.is found dead in bed, up till 15 years ago resided at Lower Hutt, after which he came to PalmertSton North. ONE MORE UNFORTUNATE. Wellington, Last Night. This afternoon the body of an tinknown man was found floating in the harbor near the Taranaki street wharf. There was nothing in the pockets or about the clothes to indicate the identity oil the deceased. SERIOUS WOUND FROM A GUN-SHOT A lad named Francis Harold Klenner, son of Mr. A. Klenner, butcher, was severely injured at Waitara on Sunday afternoon while out shooting. He and his elder brother were on the sandhills, when a gun carried by the latter accidentally discharged, two pellets hitting Francis Klenner, who was about fifteen paces away. The injured boy was conveyed by motor-car to New Plymouth, and admitted to the Hospital at 4.30 p.m. He was attended to by Dr. Walker. It was found that he had received two pellets from a scattered charge, one of which entered his neck. This was removed. The. other penetrated his skull and lodged in the brain. His condition is critical.
