RAILWAY TRAIN WRECKED.
HOLIDAY-MAKERS KILLED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. New York, July 4. Thirty-four passengers were killed and fifty injured by an express colliding with the rear of the west-bound Lackawanna passenger train near Corning. All the rear ears were telescoped and hurled ever the embankment. Most of the dead passengers were going home to spend the Fourth of July holiday. The accident occurred on a straight stretch of track. The cause is unknown. An enormous crowd of automobilists, drawn by euriosity, obstructed rescue operations, and the police were obliged to drive them away.
