THE PROTECTORATE TREATY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 2, 11.15 p.m. Paris, July 2. The Chamber of Deputies, [by 4<jo votes to 7!),' has ratified the treaty abolishing the protectorate of Morocco. M. Poincaire said that the protectorate was absolutely necessary as a corollary to the treaty of November 4. The Sultan made some resistance against a protectorate, and finally accepted it, but some entourage, including the Minister of War, instigated a revolt.
