West Ham manufacturers, including Henry Tate & Co., sugar refiners, have written to the Prime Minister that they have been obliged to close their works, rendering idle several thousand men, owing to intimidation wliile unloading raw material, including threats to damage workmen's homes.
XOX-tmOXIST EMPLOYMENT. Received 30, 5.5 p.m. Berlin, June 30. The Social Democrats at Reiclienhall have given notice to the master bakers that they must not employ non-unionists. An elderly baker who was dismissed sued the union, and the Court ordered the union to indemnify his losses and pay him 28s weekly until he was re-employed.
