Lieutenant Dalim, studying languages in Russia, has been arrested at Warsaw. Herr Kiderlen-Waechter, Minister for Foreign Affairs, demands his release, believing that the arrest is a retaliation for the Koslevitch case. PUNISHMENT OF A SPY. St. Petersburg. June 30. Itaase, a German, has been sentenced to two years' penal servitude at Odessa, for photographing military bridges at St. Petersburg. Warsaw and various places on the frontier in 1911. THE BILINGUAL QUESTION. Capetown, June 30. The education controversy has been settled. The Government has taken over the free schools established by Mr. Fraser, as a protest against the Hon. J. B. M. Hertzog's rigid bilingualism.

NEW SOUTH WALKS REVENUE. Received 1. 12.20 a.m. Sydney, .June 30. The Now South Wales revenue for the year was £15,7f>1.007. an increase of £1,022,768 over the previous year.
VICTORIA'S REVENUE. Melbourne. June 30. Victoria's revenue for the year was £9,820,716. an increase of £684.183.
