RAILWAY GRIEVANCES
A FURTHER PROTEST. By Telegraph—Press Association. InvercargiH, Last Night. At a meeting of the Invercargill branch of the New Zealand Railway Officers' Institute to-night the following resolutions wore passed:—(l) That this meeting strongly protests against the utter failure of the present Minister M Railways to carry out the findings of a responsible Parliamentary Committee of the 1011 session of Parliament, after an exhaustive hearing, on a petition presented by the New Zealand Railway Officer's Institute, and thus allay the present unrest and discontent which exists amongst members of the division; (2) that this meeting fully supports the executive "in again petitioning Parliament, asking that the recommendation of the last Railway Committee be fully considered by the present Government and given effect to, and expresses its entire confidence in the executive in any action they deem fit to , take; (2) that this meeting, feeling that the present management is opposed in every way to the welfare of members jof Division I, views with alarm the readiness of the Hon. Minister of Railways to accept statements and figures supplied by the Department in preference to I statements and figures carefully and acI curately prepared and submitted by the } Executive of the New Zealand Railway Officers' Institute; (4) that in view ot the utter failure of the Hon. Minister of Railways to make any reasonable provision to carry out the findings of the Parliamentary Committee, this meeting suggests to the Executive Council the adI visability of going into the matter of joining hands with the Unity of Labor I Party.-
