RUGBY ROUGHS.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Levin, Thursday. Rugby roughs were severely penalised at last night's meeting of the Ilorowhcnuq. Rugby Union. Seymour, better known \as "Furrie," was disqualified for life, also Ilealcy. Both players are Shannon men, who, in a match against Levin on Saturday last, threatened the referee, disputed his decision, and used obscene .language within the hearing of a neighboring team of lady hockey players. "Furrie," when ordered off the field, seized F.celeton, the referee, by the throat and nape of the neck, and threatened; him with what lie would do to him after the match. During the disturbance a third Shannon player Cobbler, used obscene language and told the referee he Avould "stand up to him." The union disqualified Cobbler for two years. lIIGII SCHOOL MATCHES. The annual football matches between teams from the, High School and the Stratford District High School will be played on the Recreation Grounds tomorrow. The junior match will begin at 11.30 a.m., and the senior at 1.30 p.m. All four teams have been training hard, and un exhibition of good school football should be the result. Parents and friends of the pupils are invited to be present. The New Plvmouth Hisih School teams are as follows:—Seniors: Crone, Colson, X. Little (captain), Hirst. Bruce, Ilamblvn, Pott, Sinclair, Grey, Mnrfell, S. Kwing, Goss, A. Little, Richards, Lepper; emergency.Chong. Juniors: Oliver. Avann, Svkes, Hawkes, Campbell. AV. Ewing, Chong, Kirton, Mon teath, Hempton, Evans, Paterson, M«Hnrdy, Hooker, L. Marfcll; emergencies, Ilill and Clemow. As a result of accidents to their knee= fast Saturday, neither Goudie nor Greatbnteh will play Rugby again this season. This will he n severe blow to the Star backs. Indeed it is difficult to see how Star will be able to muster tip- anvlliiiig like a full complement to-morrow.
