THE INDER CASE
PLAINTIFF NONSUITED. By Telegraph—Preen Association. Auckland, June 26. The case Tnder v. Inder, in which Lealr, Lillian Inder sought to recover from her husband, William F. Tnder, of Gore, £192, alleged to lie due under an agreement by which defendant covenanted to pay plaintiff £3 per week, was continued before Mr. Kettle, S.M., this morning, Mr. Singer for plaintiff, and Mr. Denniston for defendant. Further evidence was given by a previous female witness, under cross-exami-nation by the Magistrate, as to the innocence of plaintiff's relations with men named Stoddart and Wilson, whom she said she knew as bookmakers, and whose business with her and Mrs. Inder was purely related to a racehorse named Silken Rein, in whom witness was interested. Witness's evidence was in part contradicted by Wilson, who was re-sworn. ilr, Denniston explained that Stoddart, who was in C'hristchureh, bad forwarded' a letter saying that he would give evidence there, but was unwilling to come up to Auckland, besides which the prosecution were unwilling to bear the expense of bringing him up. Mr. Singer applied for a nonsuit, and Mr. Denniston asked for costs. Mr. Kettle said Mr. Singer was wise. His Worship wondered all along why proceedings had not been taken' under the Destitute Persons Act. A nohsuit -u'as accordingly entered, with costs against plaintiff, the question of costs to be adjusted in Chambers in the event of a dispute. ,
