THE KING AT CARDIFF. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, June 20. The King knighted the Lord Mayor of Cardiff. Replying to an address, His Majesty said .jhe ; hoped that recent legislation would result in more cordial feelings between the masters and the miners. Giving evidence before the Industrial Council, the witnesses for the men, including Mr. Orbell, said that whatever form arbitration took, the right to strike must prevail. VIEWS OF THE CORN TRADE. London, June 2fi. The executive committee of the London Corn Trade Association passed a resolution approving of the attitude of the Port of London Authority over the strike, and urging the Government to take immediate steps to prevent the frequent interruption of commerce.
