THE RAILWAY SERVICE

DUNEDIN DISSATISFACTION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. At a meeting of the Dunedin branch of the New Zealand Railway Officers' Institute this evening a resolution was carried expressing indignation at the failure of the Minister of Railways to give effect to the recommendations of the Parliamentary committee who inquired into the complaints of the first division, referred to in the petition presented to Parliament last year. The meeting regarded the failure to carry out the recommendations of the Railways Committee as a distinct breach of faith on the part of the Government, and strongly expressed the opinion that by so doing it would increase the discontent and dissatisfaction already prevailing throughout the service. Entire approval of the action of the delegation in advising the Minister of Railways that his proposals were unsatisfactory was also expressed.
