TROUBLE IN THE BALKANS
DESERTION BY TURKISH TROOPS. , By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. Athens, June 25. It is reported that a squadron of i Turkish cavalry, consisting of four hundred officers and men, has deserted from Monastir and joined the Insurgents. Turkish reports minimise the desertion, but admit that nine officers and fifty Albanians have deserted. Some arrests have been made; others have surrendered, and declare they were misled by their officers.
