AUSTRALIAN ACTIVITY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, June 26. A Sydney syndicate has purchased from two French planters 65,000 acres in the New Hebrides, situated in the islands of Maevo, Efote, Santo and Epi. They aro mostly cocoanut lands, and are valued at over a quarter of a million. An immediate start will be made to develop the properties. Another property of 2500 acres has been purchased by a Sydney firm in the island of Ambryn, at a cost of £6OOO.
